Traditional oral story
Oh! I’m a story character, from a tale of oral tradition. You know,
first was the word, the voice and then the writing. We were told the
story by an old man of 76, Josep Descarrega de cal Fuster,
who was a farmer, and he had been told it by other people. And who
wrote to it was Fina Font, a girl from la Fatarella as well,
who liked reading and writing a lot; one day she thought of asking the
old man to tell her the story, the one you have here in writing. But even
more so, Joan Miró Oró from Lleida, but who now lives in la Serra d’Almos,
is an artist and he has drawn me with a lot of colours. He has
also drawn the places I’ve been to, and my house, and my mother who told
me: “You silly little boy, they are always taking you in”. This is
why Joan has drawn me a silly face, but if you look closer, in the end my face
is not so silly. Do you really think I’m silly? Did you like the
thin flat cake? Do you know any more recipes and more stories?
