Excursion on the Paumeres Mountain Range

The importance of this excursion relies on the restoration projects that have taken place there: “Mountain, land and stone agriculture “, “ The restoration of Cabana de Cacano” and “Restoration of the Canyerets collection”.

An educational guide of this route has been made “The case of the missing retaining walls” which you can download from La Fundació website. This material can provide and added value to this itinerary.

What are we going to see? At the Canyerets collection we can see three huts (two open and one shut), a cistern and restored retaining walls; the Cabana de Cacano is an exceptional hut for its size as it has two floors, also restored and we will go past the Marjades de Pam with its combination of huts, porch and cistern.

On the way back to the village, we will see the stone walls around the football field and the Ecological House, both of them modern works in the aesthetics of dry stone.
