6. Methodology. The didactic unit “the case of the missing retaining walls” is conceived from three combined methodological elements: learning from problem solving being closer to the concept of learning-service, cooperative work and finally, the theory of multiple intelligences. These three referents are combined to give way to a planning of research in teams which, being faced with a demand generated by the society, assume the compromise of giving response to a research issue. The teacher transfers the prominence in research and the transmission of information to “groups of experts” who will assume specialised discipline points of view to work with multi-disciplinary teams. |
